*in “traditional” method is meant the cattle growth with any kind of cereals, meals and hay that the farmer has.

Usage of protein concentrate by mixing it with traditional feed

Protein concentrate is added to any feed containing cereals and hey (in cereal is meant – corn, barley, wheat and wheat bran);
Cattle should be feed in an ordinary way, just add protein concentrate to the cereal mixture – 500-800g per beef cattle/per day, regardless of their weight;
Before concentrate feeding cattle should be given hay;
After using concentrate other other sources of protein supplements are not required (soybean meal, sunflower expeller);
Before using recommended daily dose – 500-800g of protein concentrate, it's essential for the cattle to get used to new feed during two week period; While the cattle are being adapted to a new feed, use 300g protein concentrate daily, the next week 400g. daily. After adaptation (14 days), 500-800g protein concentrate can be used (table №1).

Usage of protein concentrate with whole-grain corn

Feeding cattle with concentrate and whole-grain corn is the most effective growing method. In this process, it’s essential to pay full attention and control to the Transition period and Fattening period.
The transition period to new feed requires 15-20 days, consists of three stages and means hey gradually replacement with whole-grain corn and concentrate. The three stages of the Transition period are given in table №2.
