Nutrimax Supports the Development of the Aquaculture Sector in the Region

Nutrimax continues to support the development of the aquaculture sector by organizing professional seminars for fish farmers. In 2026, the company held two educational events focused on trout and carp farming, with the main goal of sharing practical knowledge, exchanging experience, and contributing to the sustainable growth of local aquaculture.

The first seminar took place on May 29 in partnership with Nutriwell and was dedicated to trout farming. Around 20 trout farmers from the Shida Kartli region attended the event, along with representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and the Fisheries Department. During the seminar, participants received practical information on modern trout nutrition, feed quality, and the importance of locally produced feed. Guests also toured the Nutrimax production facility and learned about the company’s laboratory, production technologies, and quality control processes.

On July 17, Nutrimax hosted a second professional seminar dedicated to carp farming at its companion animal and aquaculture feed production facility. The event brought together carp farmers from different regions of Georgia, representatives of government institutions, industry professionals, and other stakeholders interested in the development of aquaculture.

During the seminar, participants gained practical knowledge about effective carp nutrition, modern feeding strategies, feed quality, and advanced aquaculture production technologies. Guests also toured the production facility and became familiar with the technologies, manufacturing processes, and quality control systems used in Nutrimax’s aquaculture feed production.

An important part of both seminars was the open discussion with farmers and industry representatives. Participants exchanged experiences and discussed the main challenges and opportunities facing the sector, including feed efficiency, stable fish growth, local production, and the future development of sustainable aquaculture in Georgia.

For Nutrimax, educational initiatives like these are an important part of the company’s long-term vision. The company believes that the successful development of aquaculture depends not only on producing high-quality feed but also on sharing knowledge, introducing innovative practices, and building long-term partnerships with farmers.

Nutrimax will continue organizing similar educational events to support the sustainable development of aquaculture in region, strengthen farmers’ expertise, and promote modern production practices.
